    Quick update, I traced the problem to a poor connection on the Starter Solenoid. The small spade connector was covered in gunk and although connected it obviously wasn't giving a true connection. Quick spray over with contact cleaner and it was fine. Thanks for the advice.

    There are two wires coming out of the transfer box loom which Don't connect to anything. They have spade connectors on the end but these are full of road grime so they haven' been connected one long time and they weren't attached to the old transfer box. Could they be the two earth??

    Thanks, will have a look at that this morning. Had been focused on the area around the transfer box where I had been working. Will update once I have looked.

    Hi, brand new member so excuse the immediate question. I have a UK spec D2 TD5 with 145k on the clock. I have just replaced the transfer box and when I went to start it after the work it would not turn over. Battery is good (I put it on charge to make sure). I'm getting full electrics but when...
