All sorted. Thanks for your help. It was welded with rust. Broke 3 drill bits in the process. Took it for re-test and the man dropped the headlight and smashed it! Have to take the nearside one off now to replace the headlight so it matches the other one. :)

I’ve got the bowls etc. But I can’t see how to release the headlight so I can change the bowl, adjuster ring etc. As it’s fully open to the weather there is a lot of rust in there. Manual say press and turn but it won’t do either. Anyone got any helpful suggestions?

Yes. I think you are right. I’ve never really looked at them before and I wasn’t there when they tried to adjust them. I’ve can see slotted screws at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. Assume it would only need one for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal

does anyone know if the Lucas sbc3 would fit my 1986 mil 90?
Failed mot on headlamp adjustment and they couldn’t adjust it because the 3 front screws (not actually screws) are seized and one sheared off
eBay has a pair of complete headlight units off a mil seriesIII. I’m guessing they are...

I recently got a 1986 ex military soft top 90 - so I'm hoping winter will stop soon! The handbrake had been getting worse and finally, the cable snapped. I had a quick look and realised it was a transmission brake like a Series 3 I had a long, long time ago.
The cable was actually 3 cables...
