    Headers off at last revealing surprisingly good bores!!! finally a win!! headers should clean up nicely! next job, clean the 2 inches of alien goo and mud from the bell housing so i can get the block out and onto an engine stand, wish me luck! lol [/URL][/IMG]

    asking for advice on 1980 series3

    If your going to do a new chassis, rest of the car looks ok, if it runs and works, just take everything fromt he old chassis and plonk it on the new one, hey presto, nice working landy (Until the bulkhead inevitably rusts through :D)

    Update, got the wings off today, rocker cover off and header bolts all undone but headers wont come free, anything ive missed? or tips on getting the headers off?

    The other ones bulkhead will still need some repairs, but is repairable, unless someone comes along with one for sale in the meantime, need to keep posting so i can make a thread in the 'wanted' section :D

    Series 3 with no intact chassis plate!

    I actually bought two from the same guy, one of which has intact documents and is tax exempt, so im going to chase up the second with the dvla and keep my fingers crossed, however when i recieve the latter i will thouroughly inspect the chassis and engine bay for any signs of the original...

    Words cannot describe the sadistic thoughts that must have went through that individuals mind when he conceived this monstrosity! On the other hand, perhaps he finally came to his senses and thats why he is selling up to get a real series!

    the rolling chassis is a 1984 series 3, chassis is fundamentally the same, there is no identifiable chassis number on the rolling chassis, due to it being blasted and painted. as far as im concerned though, all im doing is a chassis swap on one of the tax exempt vehicles ;)
