Never worry about tyres in the forestry industry. Some logger will always pull you out.(oh they were pulling you into the woods that day, loading you & dragging you back)

Unfortunately without sitting and meticulously researching the offset of each different style of wheel i don’t think there is any other way of doing it. I run 8” width modular steels on my 110 that with a quick google look to have an offset of...

Fitting 18" wheels fall into this category, just poor taste and judgement being displayed to even consider such a choice! On a more serious and practical note it also means that you will either get a larger diameter wheel tyre combo overall...

If you are paying to have the work done I would not bother personally. As said above you at least double the labour maybe more if the floor needs to come up as well. Unless your clutch is showing sings of being on the way out, or the seal is...

Is it definitely not salvageable? Your situation is not the same as mine but when I had the engine fire (thread LINK) the insurance tick box wrote it off as a cat B (can only be broken for parts by an authorised dealer) but with a couple of...

Couple of more extreme suggestions that go in the opposite direction of what lots of others do with there vehicles. If you revert back to the series/military style doors you gain about 100mm of additional width each side in cabin space. You loose...

I have driven down to and around Morocco twice which includes the 1500miles trip to Algeciras to get the ferry. I did this in my 200tdi 110, so yours will be far more comfortable at motorway speeds than mine was as a starting point. I would...

You would be amazed what a lick of paint can do. The drivers wing I fitted during my rebuild after the fire (original melted) was very much a farmers wing and I knocked the dents out as best as I could and then painted it and fitted. It look...

I have done a few wings, It depends on the finish you are going for as to if it is worth the effort. In a show room truck then it is not work the effort as unless you have some serious skills, you will be riveting back together all the spotwelds...

Are you talking about the box, mounted to the chassis, or the pump mounted to the engine? Either way @Anaconda advice of being fairly logical when you look at is is correct. For both you start by removing the pipe work. For the pump, it is...

Depends what generation, I thought they liked to split in half where the water runs down between the cab and the bed and rusts the chassis away at that point
  • dag019
And one more thought ... Several of you chimed in to say you would work really hard on some kind of bodge before pulling the engine and swapping the crank. This was helpful advice because I was actually starting down the road of pulling the...

Even if it is a non structural one it will Still leave the bolt Holes in body work. Things like that once fitted are best left fitted as they take a huge amount of work to remove and put back original otherwise. Also if it is a proper to the...

Potentially, Throw up some photos of what you have fitted currently and people will be able to comment on if i looks the same as a standard 300tdi version. I have just had the issue with brake calliper gallery seals. For a defender land rover...

I think you should be fine with any 300tdi intercooler, I believe they are all the same. However I am not an expert in correct, I am more along the lines of what works, I have an aftermarket 300tdi intercooler fitted to my 200tdi engine. The only...

You have a Ford near bourbon and a length of right of way. Heading towards Cirencester & Cotswold airport. A lot of construction on the new A417 may have closed a lane. some of the lanes on the Motocyle sites are the restricted ones. Plenty of...

I did that with an old one I had and it now leaks worse than before hence looking for a replacement. it works well enough, runs a total loss hydraulic system

Where did you purchase your good steering box from? I am still in need of a replacement. I have a spare on the bench to exchange so vehicle would not be off the road in my case.

I used neoprene tape when I rebuilt the heater box. quick question for this application what do you want non-setting? would silicone gasket not do the same job and not bee much more difficult to remove in the future should it be needed?

You have just confirmed my issue. Everything works and moves. The issue is the cable I assume stretches. And needs adjusting every couple of months. That was what I was hoping to rectify.
