Well priced a few up & how much it would cost to get dash customized , price of a decent cd player etc................... went home took casing off auto changer and plugged it back in to see what was happening with it , black wheel which sends the arm in to pick a cd was stiff/jammed gave it...

it was just loads of different opinions it was confusing me especially when a guy from halfords said it fits ! thanks ill try & find somewhere like that which could help hopefully theres somewhere around the area thanks

yeah i know what one is :eek: ffs haha i just thought you were going to tell me about understanding one ..... i just want to know if the thing will fit one says no one says yes then another said yes with modifications ...... i may just buy it try & put it in if it doesnt fit take it back...

Yeah i thought there would have to be some sort of mod to get it in there but the guy said it will fit fine , nearly bought the bloody thing aswell . Would a double even fit in the slot at all ?

argh right , see it says it fits straight in but i couldnt see it tbh , im not one for changing the head unit i usually keep it original but with the autochanger fked i really dont fancy paying stupid money for an original changer . Im not a big fan of the slimline things and i think it may...

Does a double din style cd player really fit into the dash anybody ?

i do mate but im not paying 100/200 quid for an original cd changer what doesnt seem to be very reliable ...... the changer under the seat doesnt work / read cds changing that was my first idea but not for that price ... also ive just been to halfords to see if a double head unit would fit...

Thankyou i like to keep things standard so i want to keep the head unit , i was just wanting to take the alpine changer out then straight swap for a different more modern changer , would any type/make go straight in ? also is there anybody around county durham/sunderland who can put me...

alright lads is there a cd changer i could swap for the original one thats in my td5 its on a 04 plate if that helps. tried a few different things to get it working and it wont was wanting something simple just to swap them straight over without any faffing about ? or is it a big job ...

Thanks lads. fking cd player doesnt work either ! any of you had problems with the cd changer ? discs spinning but keeps saying no cd ? maybe a laser ?
