    warning light

    can anyone please help. i have a 1.8 es on 52 plate. just recently a warning light keeps coming on and staying on. it doesnt do it all the the time!! the warning light is the check engine symbol(amber). the handbook says diesel only, yet i obviously have a petrol.:confused:
