This is the upright when you open the driver door. I can't get the head of the bolt (and therefore the nut) in here. Also it's a box section that I would drill the hole through which means it won't be a particularly strong connection. How does yours look from the driver door looking at the nut...

I have these brackets but am confused as to how to fit them to the upright. Anyone fitted them and if so how?

I am in the process of fitting inertia belts to my series 3 hard top. I bought Top Mounting Seat Belt Brackets but am not sure about how to fit it to the vertical. Do I need to take the top off to drop a nut down - and if so how do I stop it at the bolt? Anyone done it? thanks.
