    Thanks for the photo. It's difficult getting a photo with the hub in position as it covers everything up. But looking at your set up It is exactly the same as mine and as shown in the manual and the several videos on you tube, Spring and adjuster bottom retaining plates etc, the same. I think...

    2 of the drums are brand new never been used and the other 2 are original

    It does it with the screws in or out as soon as you tighten the wheel nuts.

    Th The shoes were contaminated with oil and thrown away years ago. Problem is on all 4 drums, 2 are new 2 are original. They do seem the same radius drums and shoes.

    Thanks for the photos shippers. I had a look at the back plates on mine and there are no brake shoes steady posts or even holes where they could have been.

    It was stood before the shoes went on with the drums and wheels on but no shoes inside and we used to push it around. I cant see us pushing it far with the shoes on now!. So I see your logic and am inclined to agree.

    The shoes are adjusted off. Where would the alignment screw be?. I cant remember seeing anything like that.
