Hi just finished rebuild on my 200 tdi engine but still blue smoke when I rev it but not on idle can’t take it for a good run as it’s a rolling chassis any ideas much appreciated thanks

Hi yes a lt77 box and a disco 200tdi engine but the wading plug hole isn’t in line with the flywheel to lock it to set the timing on the pump would it be a different bell housing

Hi thanks for your response I will have a look tomorrow on the piston walls but on the pistons crowns there’s number Tx err 1387
The crosshatching is still good the pistons ring were free and pretty clear but there were carbon marks on the side’s just around the conrod pins up to the rings not...

Hi just stripped down to the pistons out stage so what should I be looking for on the pistons and rings and how to find what size rings are on as no reference numbers and how far do I continue or I am at the point of no return thanks

Disco 200tdi camshaft
Hi thanks for your response tried a bit of heat and plenty of wd40 and clean up the shaft and the laser puller still no joy

Hi yes the cam sprocket first and then crankshaft damper came off ok but it’s the crankshaft sprocket behind the damper which is the problem thanks much appreciated

Hi started stripping down to get to the cam everything was going fine until I got to the crankshaft spocket I used the puller which uses the 3 screw holes on the sprocket 2 hours later still the same any ideas much appreciated thanks

Hi thanks for your responses so if I fitted a new cam would I need new cam bearings as well thanks
