yes, saw that (afetr the fact) but didn't quite follow the scraper part..and wasn't in my garage when I fitted it. Nervous about taking steel tools to a mirror!! My point was that it was easier than I thought.

Just a follow up. I was wondering why one had to fit the retaining circular clip to the main assembly first and not attach it to the mirror first and then mount the combined unit. I found that attaching the retaining clip is quite tricky to align, so I agree and suggest mounting the mirror AFTER...
