    Hi I have a 1999 Disco 120k on the clock.steady long run it will do about 29mpg.Around town 20-23 mpg. Mind you if you want economy the best landy I had was a freelander 1.8.     300 TDI Rev Counter problem

    No squealing he could well have a go at the terminals Friday.The alternator box went with the knackered one so he does not know the type.Interestingly the alternator seized and stopped the engine dead,hence the need for a replacement.Many Thanks
