I could buy a citroen one from my friendly LR parts supplier. How would they ever know? My mate works for a JLR parts distributor. When I told him about the pump he had both makes on his desk to check and there is absolutely no doubt they are the same part from the same factory.

with regard to the Citroen oil pump it is exactly the same as the LR one. they both have the same Ford part number on. LR just charges twice as much for selling you a bit of Ford kit.

Quite obvious but I'm not sure if there have only been 2 varieties or more?

I used a little Farecla G3 Paint Renovator on a light scratch on my off side passenger door and it has all but disappeared. Then used the clay mitt and a quick coat of wax. Paintwork has a nice deep shine to it. Looking forward to doing the rest of the car when weather and daylight permit.

That is exactly the point. If you buy a part worn you can look inside to check for major issues but who takes the tyres of a 2nd hand car to check the carcass?

What's the view on buying a part worn tyre? Never thought I would but I've changed my mind recently.

Iv'e got a nice wide set of steps on mine. Thinking of adding a red carpet. Not going anywhere near no rocks!
