    p38 running problems help

    Hi, double check the condition of the wires and pins on the mutiplug to the coil packs from the engine harness. 90 litres is nearly 20 gallons x 14mpg = 280 miles !

    TD4 erratic idling

    Try disconnecting the plug on each injector individually (engine running) to determine if you have a misfire and if so which injector is causing it. The bad injectors will have no effect on the running and disconnecting the good ones will make it even worse. Hope this helps.

    Poor idling/loss of power

    The fuel pressure sensor is at the gear box end of the engine, underneath the inlet manifold, on the end of the fuel rail. They are known to corrode. Have you tried running it with the EGR valve vacuum pipe removed as this can also cause similar problems.

    eas fault

    I experienced a similar fault recently were I parked the car and got out to notice suspension at full height and the compressor was still running. It just turned out to be a sticking relay for the compressor. I would check that out before you start replacing anything as its quick and easy.
