I have been considering to buy a EWP 80 with a controller, but as yet i would like to confirm if there is another problem that is present before i fork out the money for one.

Thanks for the advice.
I have installed a new PRT thermostat before i went away, so i know that the thermostat is fine.
I have checked this morning to see if the old thermostat was removed, and it has.
I now flushed the radiator and topped it back up and ran in for a while, it seems to be...

Hi again all, i am back now after being away working for the last 2 months.
yet again i am having problems with the freelander...
while away my wife took the car out with a friend and the thing managed to cut out at the near by traffic light and after a jump start it managed to cut out after 5...

Ok well.... Everything is fine. After a while with the engine running the fans finally kicked in :) it sounded like the bloody front end was going to take off they where going that fast lol.
It did look odd thou as when they did jump to life the temp gauge was showing nothing?? After a while...

After a wash a polish and some dye for the bumbers, its cleaned up well.
Today i think that i will try and investigate why the fans are not kicking in properly.
And the wife will be having here first lesson today :)

The clutch definatley feels better. Before I changed the master cylinder the clutch pedal had far to much free play i.e you could lift the peddle up, and when I looked up at the master cylinder, by the pedal I seen a clip on the master cylinder just swinging.. I then operated the clutch and seen...

I am thinking that it is a problem with the relay, due to the fact that they both come on with the A/C. any thoughts on this?? i will check it all out again tomorrow and check what is gong on.

The drive went well. No more knocking :) I left the car running and the temp sensor was saying it was normal and I waited longer to see of the fans kicked in. They did... Well one did. I'm unsure if there is a fault somewhere as they do come on fine with the A/C.

Well i have finally got all my parts through today and i have just finished putting her back together, i am just letting her tick over for a while as the battery warning light is on. then i will take her out for a test run.

With a level sensor in the expansion tank, was you thinking of adding something like one of theses switches?

Just a new standard coolant temp sensor.
I have been reading up on a EWP 80 and controller, but trying to convince myself to part with £250 :confused: but will read up more before i do decide.
A level sensor sounds like a good idea thou.

Update..
The new Front/Cat exhaust arrived yesterday.
all fitted with a new Lambda Sensor.
Hopefully my coolant sensor and oil filter will arrive today and i can get it all back together and take it for a test run. Fingers crossed that there is now more knocking and the clutch...
