Diesel. Thought the plugs needed cleaning but got told they were glow and not spark so defo diesel. Have managed to have a mechanic have a look and he is stumped too :(

Hey Archie, Yes there is fuel. Thought there was not but twisted some dial thing in the middle of the dash and there is 1/4 tank, although if truth be told I wish it were that simple :)

Thanks Ratty, jump leads are fine as had already jumped a ldv convoy and a very posh gas range rover with them. As for spraying the easy start no damage could have been caused as the engine was not turning over, all that benefited from the spray was the road as there is now a nice clean patch...

It's a brand new battery Paul! I recon there is a battery powered hamster who keeps plugging into the landy battery to re-charge and continue its torment of the street cats. There will be a bonfire in South West London soon! In all seriousness though what could be draining the power?

Ooooh tow start, I bagsy me in the Merc 311 and someone else in the Landy. Not got breakdown for any vehicle only my own :( Will put battery back on charge tomorrow, again, fooking thing. Any ideas as to why the battery would loose charge over night?

Connections checked and now I am smelling of swarfiga or however the heck you spell it! There is now zero power, nada, zip, diddly. I called and checked that the battery fitted is the correct size as I thought maybe it was not powerful enough but even if not powerful enough why would it go...
