Cleaned all the connections on the battery and started motor and all is now back to working order. Top advice as usual!!!!

Cheers guys will have a good look tomorrow. I had the negative lead off the battery last week to fit my cruise control. Maybe I didn't get a good connection when I refitted it.

I have a problem starting my Disco 2 in the morning after it's stood all night. I turn the key and it makes a single attempt at turning the engine over. Like a single grunt then nothing rather than grunt grunt grunt then starting. I leave it 30 seconds then it fires up normally. Sorry it's hard...

That is what I thought, Halfords told me that all I needed was the patch lead. So one last question, how does the interface lead work if I already have a lead that changes the stock connections to the JVC units connections.
Thanks
Chris

This is driving me mad so I hope some of you clever bods can help me. I have a Discovery 2 year 2000. It has a JVC KD-R711 stero system fitted and it works great apart from the steering wheel controls. I asked the audio specialist at Hafords who sold me a PC99-JVC patch lead but I can't see...

My 2000 X Reg Discover 2 TD5 is acting a bit weird. The front passenger side looks like it has dropped but the opposite rear side is blown up high with the airbag.
What do you guys think, could it be a problem with the front or the rear height sensor. Any ideas where to look first??
Thanks...

I want some opinions. My Disco 2 came with these spots fitted and they don't work. What do you guys think, does the Disco 2 pre facelift look ok without front spots or should I fix them up and keep them. I can't make my mind up!

Ok guys a quick update on my FPR issues. I ended up getting a new valve and it doesn't leak now. I have the old valve and there are no cracks in the body either. Not sure why the O-ring fix didn't work for me, but at least it's now fixed.

During my frustrating experience with the FPR I managed to lose the spring clip off the temp sensor that fits on the FPR. I have searched but can't find anywhere for a replacement. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Chris

No as I didnt have one, I can see where it is dripping from and it is not from there. Must have a bad valve body, just going to replace it!

I went back in there today and replaced the O rings on the pipe connections and still the same leak. Definitely coming from the regulator where I replaced the two O rings previously. Ah well it was worth a go but looks like it's a new valve for me!

C
Yeah it's the right gasket as I had the wrong one to begin with, I went and got a Landy MSX100080 which was identical to the one that came off. Do you think it's possible to change the pipe orings without taking the fpr off. If yes I could try that tomorrow before giving in to the expensive fix!
-
C
Yeah it is a pre EU03, I didn't fit the pipe o rings to be honest, but looking at the leak as far as you can tell, it is from the regulator not the pipes. It is a pretty constant drip every 5 seconds. It appears to be coming from below the electrial connection!

C
Yes it is leaking from the exact same place which is where the O Rings were fitted! What a bitch!

Looks like I spoke too soon, leak is exactly the same as before. WTF, replaced both o rings and the fuel filter o ring and a new gasket. Still drip drip drip!!! Anyone any ideas???
