    Cheers Stig. Is there anyway to actually diagnose the lift pump? Also could it be anything to do with the fuel solenoid? I have read a fair few posts and this keeps coming up... Thanks again

    Thanks for that suggestion. I forgot to say that the sediment bowl has apparently been bypassed from the previous owner.
