P38 alarm issue with indicator lights on

I don't know what they did. The garage who fitted the switch was "Gemm 4x4" in Larbert. It might be worth giving them a ring.

P38 alarm issue with indicator lights on

I bought a 97 DSE a couple of months ago and the garage that did a service on it prior to me buying it fitted an isolator switch under the rear bumper. I didnt bother about it for the the first couple of days of ownership. That is until I had exactly the same symptoms as you have. Now when I...

    question about canyons template

Did mine a couple of weeks ago and the only bit I can think of is the part near where you have folded the carpet back. There is a hard rubber section which I cut away to allow me to fold the metal flap back.

    Lumpy running at low revs

It was time to go to the caravan this weekend to Aberfeldy. Only 60 miles but a lot of the journey through winding hilly gorgeous country side with no mobile phone signal in a lot of the glens. I nervously started off on my journey. First 20 miles or so is dual carriageway and as I became more...

    Lumpy running at low revs

Loosening fuel cap made no differerce. Drove like a maniac up to halfords to get some injector cleaner and its great but drive it like someone who is on a major fuel saving mission and its back to its usual misfire like running. Spoke to a mobile tuning and diagnostics driver at halfords and...

    Lumpy running at low revs

Was out this morning and changed the last two leak off pipes. The one from the No1 injector to the FP and the one from the FP to the fuel filter housing. They seemed very loose. Checked the reading for the in tank fuel pump at the relay and that seems ok. Need to check that it is delivering fuel...

    Lumpy running at low revs

Hi yes I saw your post on this and tried it in a 3/4 tank of fuel. Ive done about 50 miles but no difference. Want to try everything that I can do myself before I have to take it to someone.

    Lumpy running at low revs

Searched the forum regarding my problem on my 97 2.5 dse which is lumpy running or misfire type of thing at about 1000-1500 rpm when driving. when I'm driving slowly in second or third gear it feels like its missing. It never cuts out and it revs freely and accelerates no problem when I put the...

My second P38 Few we problems

Two new tyres going on it tomorrow and avoiding kerbs for as long as I have it. My work mate has a full set of 18 inch original alloys and good tyres for sale for 250 pounds and I was tempted to go for those. I'll see how many pennies I have after I sort my problems out

My second P38 Few we problems

Is it worth taking the centre consul out to have a look ? Is anything repairable from inside the cab or is it access from underneath only? I was out for a good drive in it today and I must be getting used to where the gears are as I had no real problems driving it

My second P38 Few we problems

Would it be repairable or a new motor needed Did a search on gearstick problem and found loads on the discovery easy fix but p38 seems more involved. Still dont know if it can be repaired from inside or I need to get underneath. Dont know if the relay has been tampered with for a reason like...

My second P38 Few we problems

Had the 4.0hse before and had to get rid as I needed the money elsewhere but I'm a glutton for punishment and had to have another Got myself a DSE this time and even after knowing what to look for second time around I still missed faults. Done a search but difficult to find exactly what I'm...
