Coolant temp sensor, sorry! Return flow of the injectors is ok. No fault code, no obvious fuel leak that either me or a garage can see. Could be air ingress somewhere, but not found it.

Morning all, quick update: - Glow plugs have been tested and all ok. - Compression test has been done and all ok. - Leak down test on the the injectors also done and this was ok too. - I've swapped out the camshaft and crankshaft sensors, but no difference. However, all of this and it failed...

Garage confirmed it was 5v ones. From memory 12v ones have a different fitting and wouldn’t fit anyway. Could the harness be an issue?

With the weather getting colder, the starting is getting harder and harder. If I press the ignition and leave for 10 seconds and turn off again, then repeat the process one or two times before starting, it starts slightly better, again indicting the plugs need more time to heat properly

It sounds heat related, like a glow plug issue. Have they been changed. Im having similar issues on mine

Yes all ok. There was no difference before and after the change of plugs and control module. There are no DTC stored either

Could the timings be off somehow, ie, it’s heating, but not heating for long enough perhaps? Don’t like the sound of failed gasket at all. Sounds far too expensive. How would I know if coolant is pressurising? I will get it booked in at the garage. Just needs to do its mot first. Needs pads and...

Thanks for the replies It’s had a full set of new 5v glow plugs and glow plug control module. Power is getting to them as well. No difference in starting after they were replaced vs before hand

Hi Artic Thanks for the warm welcome :) Yes it has the extra earth lead, and had a full set of 5v glow plugs as it is the 2012. Not looking forward to the frost I must say. Thanks
