Sorry for the thread bump, my 2.0 Diesel TD4 is in the shop at the min with a suspected in tank fuel pump problem. Garage are talking about dropping the rear axle to replace it as the tank is apparently larger than normal?!

I think its the cross member, rad is sat on top of it.

So the missus has had a bump today (16/11/14), low speed but the guy she's ran into had a tow bar... I'm not mechanically minded at all, but I'm looking at what it will cost to get the damage that has been done fixed, i.e if its more than my insurance excess I'll get it fixed through that, if...
