    not noticed any sound like that, any ideas what it could be ? have noticed very small amount of oil in the turbo inlet pipe and also outlet pipe on the intercooler but only a couple of drops, when the turbo oil seals go do they just let go big time or is it gradual

    my defender 200 tdi lets out a puff of blue smoke when on tickover and blipping the accelerator, ive changed the valve stem seals, could it be anything to do with the crankcase breather,or turbo seals maybe, if its the turbo could i change the seals myself or is it best left to a specialist...

    ive been trying to set the pump timing using timing pins, i get it set spot on then when i take the pins out & turn the engine through 2 revolutions i put the pump pin in but the flywheel pin is always a tiny bit out, i can put a screw driver in the hole and move the flywheel to the correct...

    hi there just brought a defender with a 200tdi engine, it starts & runs really well but chucks out lots of white smoke, it doesnt seem to do it if cruizing at 60-70,mostly pulling away or at tick over. ive checked the pump timing which is spot on ,not sure what to check next ? thanks in advance...

    p38 ownership

    I'm thinking of buying a range rover preferably a diesel, are p38s really that bad for electrical problems ? i really want something that i can maintain myself to keep repair costs down. would i be better off with a classic. any advice much apreciated.
