Went really well, for once Old Blue didn't put up much of a fight. Bit of a squeeze to get the new outrigger aligned but not too hard. The old one was so bad (no supportat all), you can feel the difference in the bends.
Cut it off and bash the new one in and weld it on, if you have the one with the reduced tube size.
I would support the tub with a jack and piece of wood when removing the bolts.
Don't weld galvanised metal as its bad for you.
