Fitted the replacement wing mirror motor actuator to the passenger side wing mirror. Fought with the sh!te eBay replacement glass for about an hour, gave up and put the original glass back on in about 2secs. But then when I got in the vehicle to test out the auto-dip when in reverse…the mirror...

Drove around with a nice warm bum! Dunno how long my repair will last but I’m glad all that hassle getting the seat back off (and back on) has led to it working. Added a bit of foam to hopefully cushion the tubing against that rigid metal bar. Another wonderful bit of Land Rover engineering!

After today’s effing and blinding I’m thinking about testing it’s off-road abilities by choosing to drive it off a cliff…!

I actually grabbed one from eBay for £35. Looks identical, same code etc

Brilliant, thank you very much. I’ll get one ordered (and won’t tell the wife!) I could try to get in there with a mini clamp and some sealant. But it looks pretty buggered unfortunately.

Blower is a proper f()<£ed. But no way am I paying for a new one at those prices. Going mad with black Adiseal…

Took seat back out to get to heated seat blower. What a pig of a job that is! Painted the steering wheel with leather paint, that should buff up nicely. And tried to replace the passenger wing mirror glass but…failed (just started a new thread)

The pass side wing mirror glass has been a bit wobbly for a while. Went to replace it today and this bit is cracked behind. Does anyone know what it is? And can I replace it or am I looking at a whole new wing mirror/motor?! (‘56 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8) Thanks all.

Taxed it. Goodness it’s a lot of cash. And why do the b@($+@(45 charge more if you pay every six months (or monthly)?! Do they not know we Land Rover owners can never look for far in advance? (Because… #TURBOS😳)
