Ok, got myself a set of S3 LWB 5.5 rims for my SWB. Now to choose the best AT tyre. Will a Goodyear Wrangler or BFG 236/85/16 fit the 5.5” rim and accept tubes?

QuestionS, do 235/85/16s on Wolf rims extend outside the S3 wheel arch or are they just legal? Does this combination exert any additional stress on the hubs? I noticed talk of +ve offset and additional stresses.

So that’s 235/85s on 5” rims?

Just fitted on my S3 1981 SWB new rear cylinders, shoes, pipes, drums and bled the system. Drums go on but...appears to be high on the lead shoe both sides so the wheel sits wonky!.. I’m guessing the shoe needs fettling but where? So near but so far to getting it rolling again . Any ideas?

Haynes suggests 205 are good for the 5”. Do y’all concur?
