Since you bring it up, I wouldn't either. They were a lot less than helpful when the stainless system i bought for a 200tdi SIII wasn't remotely close to fitting. I ended up cutting that and putting a flexible joint in. Supposedly the experts in...

Thanks for response, I've lubricated the parts I'd worked on and they're all very smooth in operation, but I've not yet removed the adjusting hex nut which holds back the spring and washers.. I'm looking for a little reassurance that when I do...

    Black number plates matter.

I don't know either, but your plan sounds sensible. Did you lubricate it when you put it back together? I'd imagine that dry/oil/grease would give different results.

Dunno if you've left yet, but is the MiL's wand hollow?

Unsurprisingly, for me at least, the MIL and wife did not expect it, the series fired straight up, didn’t even need a jump and other than the transfer box didn’t need any fluids. So I call that a result having been sat since before son was born...

Ah well, a spell in the Series will remind you how comfy a 'Fender is.

Assuming that it's 'rubber', cut, insert a tight fitting metal pipe and then two or four hose clips works.

Give that man a cookie. It was the oil cooler pipe. Despite being new for the rebuild last year one of them had been rubbing on the steering column and had worn through! A new set ordered (at great expense) and I will do more this time to make...

My Fiat looked like that when the incorrectly supplied filter finally blew the O ring out. (Right box, wrong filter, felt 'different' when I fitted it, but looked ok!).

A noisy reverse will only be a problem if you bolloxed the selecter fork meshing and that's the only gear you can get when the pub's ten minutes off closing.

You've changed the bearings, and presumably picked out the bigger bits of broken synchro rings, so as long as you left the end float somewhere about right it'll be fine!

And don't tighten anything up or drill/ream any holes that don't line up, till every panel is back on. Speaks someone who may have made that mistake 🙄🤣

If you've got it in an online album just right click in the image and copy, then paste it in the reply box.

    6' 3" when I put them in a 110. I just use a cushion in a series.

@Hicap phill will probably be able to help. However bear in mind that any hicap that has has been used is likely to have a fairly battered rear tub (no judgment of @HiCapphills land rover intended!)

Oddly enough, seat risers are a must for tall people. They get you further from the pedals, and in a 110 mean you can set the rails further back.

No, there's no strength anywhere in the middle. About the only bit you can take off as a 'unit' is the bulkhead. More work than you hoped, but on the plus side you can do all of it (except the engine) without needing a hoist. Reassembly is rear...
