Sounds better than mine. I couldn’t even hear a knock 😳

Easier not to fit daft tyres.

I doubt anyone would notice once fitted but you’d notice the original aluminium, or at least I would.
More prepping in the outer walls this afty as I get ready to glue the windows in. I’ve been testing a PU mastic from honest Abdul’s pound emporium and it’s pretty good. Might just save myself a...

Windows messed with this morning.

My old man was waved out of our farm track by the old chap at the road end. He was a pain to be honest but ment well.
On this occasion a mate of mine was charging round the blind bend in his go faster cavalier. Hit the SWB square in the drivers side right between the wheels. He probably managed...

Oh, and in case your not accustomed. The heater plugs are manual.
Key in….
Ignition on…..
Heater plugs on… and hold for 10to20 seconds…..
Fire it up. 👍

At best the light is very dim. It should be a 6v not a 12 and check the earth. Dash earths are poor at best. Then again it could have simply blown.

I have a ratchet strap holding my battery in. I think it was a Wilko one. Small but not completely cheepo junk. It’s been on (well greased) for years and passed several MOTs without comment.
I have a Bosch battery (out of a Audi A5) in the heap and although the first one was well used I was...

As said it’s a good idea to check road wheel size and also count the teeth on your difs. Most wheels are changed for aesthetics rather than performance and sometimes the gearing of the differentials changed in an attempt to improve top speed. Your far better knowing what the transmission train...

The only recommended point is high up in the corner. The bolt goes right through the bodywork from the outside as far as I know.
Not sure the pillar is considered even nearly strong enough.

That’s all the windows foiled. Now I can’t find my liver of sulphur. Not that it has a shelf life. Looks like I’ll have to order a little bottle of fresh stuff.
Decided the windows will be going in before paint. The timber is already waterproof and it’s easier to mask off a window than a hole...

The opening window has a disgraceful catch in aluminium flavour so I’m going to have to invent one in brass or something.
The original is that bulky it was never going to work with the blinds coz of its huge dimensions.
-
Looks like the lockups are ready for further tinkeration so I celebrated this afternoon by getting out the windows.
If you remember, I disliked the idea of aluminium frames on the inside as everything else is copper or bronze with a dash of brass ere n thure.
Started foiling the frames with...

You took the words out of my mouth 🤞

From experience I’d say your going to need much 12v. By the time everything has been fiddled and faffed with, a single battery with a charge between tinkers is going to become very tiresome. Doable but deffo mental breakdown territory.
And this is only the start 😳 Just wait for fine timing. 😮
