what voltage are you getting when engine off and when engine running.

Well i bit the bullet and bought another battery hopeing this would cure the gearbox fault.Still the same .Any one else got any ideas what it might be?

i got transfer neutrel when i messed about with the fuses.It would not go in to any gear .I put a fuse in a slot that did not have one and transfer neutral came up .Dont know if this helps.

Hi it might be your idle control valve .It is also known as a stepper motor.I had the same problem changed it running a lot better.Two minute job to change.

I have an 80lt tank in the boot i think.I drive a 4.0se.The computor on avr reads about 10-11mpg .All i do is short journeys so i cant seem to get the mpg up .Does this seem a bit low. ?

Thanks ianmjdun tried the wd-40 like you said it seems to have worked .I think the bit inside the barrel must have been sticking and thats why the computor was thinking the keys were still in ignition so fingers crossed.
