Thanks Irishrover. Can you pleswe tell me where i'd find the temperature sensor, i'm pretty useless when it comes to mechanics!!!! Also what is an EFM? And how can I check the resistance at the throttle position sensor?

Hi can anyone help me please. I have a 97 P38 and recently when I start the engine it, the revs shoot up to 2500. I have changed the idle stablization valve and throttle position sensor after looking on forums, this sorted the issue out for a couple of weeks before the problem started again...
