ok, thanks. I was thinking it was the contact within the switch/stalk, not the external wire contacts.

So if the indicators stop working from the stalk and the hazards still work from their switch, it must be the stalk? Do you need to take the stalk apart to spray WD40 on the contacts? Thanks for the assistance!

Our late 53 TD4 has a FBH (fuel burning heater) fitted. I have noticed I is on all year round! Is there some sort of thermostat that detects the outside air temp to activate it? I'm also not sure if it cuts out when engine reaches temperature.....

My partner made a mistake yesterday and started filling the TD4 with petrol. There was almost £20 of petrol put in. Once she realised her mistake she thought the best thing to do was immediately dilute it with diesel so she put in £60 of diesel! She drove home (4 miles) and now the freelander...
