Assuming you go round and find the wheels, tyres and badge, how do you prove (because that's what is required in this country to convict someone) that they came from a particular car and/or were stolen by the present seller? The chances of having a record of the tyre serial numbers, photos...

Don't think anyone has mentioned it but if you bought your LR on plastic, you have a claim against the credit card company also. Have a look at Section 75 refunds: Free protection for ALL spending... for the details of how to claim. I've dealt with a few similar cases previously...

I agree, a bit harsh. The 'experiment' was an extreme one and I would question the safety aspects of running a lightened vehicle at such high tyre pressures but fuel is the biggest expense aside from depreciation we face. I fully appreciate that a RR is not a Yaris and have my eyes wide open...
