Could put a cleaner in fuel system like "clean drive" , on quarter of a tank. It gives a higher octane boost to stop the fall at idle. May help to figure out if it's electric or mechanical, like egr or gooey stuff in bottom of intercooler.

Need help with serpentine belt adjuster pulley base. Does anyone know the torque for the spring arm that the pulley goes onto. NOT for the pulley but the spring housing that bolts to the engine.

Try the negative earth, as it may affect as brake is on. I have had this on fords and others but not on land rovers. Negative to battery and motor and any other you can find. Keep us informed please.

It's not the suspension or air pump that's chattering. Definitely swap gearbox fluid (whatever is in it now), and check the old fluid for metal and the plug. That's a loose gear. Your probably getting it when it's floating. Floating driving in gear but hot excelerating and not slowing down therefore no load but the weight of the momentum. Probably shows up due to overheating under long duration of towing load. Possibly may notice when cold.

MTF90 GL4 was recommended by Ashcroft, however ATF is also recommended. Biggest thing is ashcroft say never GL5. Hope this helps.

Some say ATF is standard in R380 or gear oil is standard in R380. My R380 from standard is gear oil, just to clarify 😵‍💫 now I'm getting confused 😔

Sorry yes you are correct I was trying to say in manual box like r380 it is a better lubricant to help bad bits or noises. Therefore changing the ATF in his, may help or sometimes changing it several times in-between driving it over a week can clean the inside of any gearbox manual or...

Just to let you know...my original box I drove for 2 years with 3 gears on ATF the remaining gears worked wonderfully and smooth till I got a new box 😁
