Hi just read you thread regarding blocked cat. My other half has a td4 with power problems. Run fine until up to temp then goes into limp home mode and throws the eml on. Did you eml come on when it went into limp home mode
Thanks
Scott

Just a thought could throttle position sensor have anything to do with it, on one occasion the TC light and hill decent light came on with the eml light?

OK the other halfs td4 would not start, narrowed it down to the regulator on back of high pressure injection pump. Changed seals and started fine ran OK but now when car is up to temp it goes into limp home mode and eml is on. Error code is "4496 rail pressure monitoring deviation" Could the...

Has any one got a duff TD4 turbo that is surplus to requirements as I need an actuator that controls the veins (waste gate in old money) Some beer tokens waiting

Meant to say attached hose to diaphram created vacuum with large syringe. The wastegate rod moved but did not hold in place it returned to it orginal position, as if there was a leek in the diaphram?

OK been messing around with this solonoid (diaphram) if I take of the vacuum pipe from the diaphram there is constant vacuum. Should there only be vacuum when boost solanoid activates? Any help would be appreciated

Hi
I see you thread ref turbo. My partners freelander is not boosting. It looks like the actuator diaphram attached to the turbo is not working. Can you see from the turbo you took off if it can be replaced seperately?
Cheers
Scott (my name also lol)

OK the TD4 has been running perfectly with her new set of injectors. That is until this week, no boost. The rod that is attached to the variable vein mechanism moves freely, well sprung resistance. I put constant vac hose from boost solonoid to diaphram but it does nort move. So either...

Just fitted old speed sensor with old rubber washer, went for test drive now what is strange sub 60mph all is normal. However cruise at 70 for few hundred yards put foot on break and its fairly hard and can feel abs let foot of and reapply brake and all is well? Is it just coincidence that I...

Right taken speed sensor out and there are some spacers that have been damaged so I gues the gap may not be perfect, how critical is the gap? The o ring also looks slightly damaged but nothing serious.

Right just fitted new wheel hub bearing assembly, fairly straight forward. Took for drive abs light went out after the magic 8kmh. Took it on A14 yesterday cruising at a good speed touched the brake pedal and abs kicked in very scary as no feel to brake pedal took foot of pedal re-applied and...

I have just rebuilt my front prop shaft and as people have advised onhere the Self centering bearing was in a bad way. So following the instructons I found on here found the process fairly easy. Anyway I have two new sealed precision 617 self centering prop bearings. (I ordered three to try...

Hey presto new injectors and as good as new. Euro Spares had a deal on for Bosch remanufactured injectors £85 plus VAT exchange.
First two cam out easy then a side hammer persueded the last two out, re-ground the seats and all done.
Thanks for everyones input

The bosch guy said the loss of power was due to loss of spray pattern at nozzle as it was a very precise science? That I dont know but it is a problem they are seeing. As for leak back we had about 7 mm in each tube there were all pretty equal. Again would seem strange they all fail exactly...

Funny the bosch tech guy said it is a fault they have come accross giving our symptons. Where did you get injectors from androughly what was cost?
