mine is diesel starting to think expensive lesson learnt

i need a LRT-12-116 tool to centralise oil pump anybody have any ideas were i can purchase 1 from please

as you say wammers may be able to help ill wait and see if he knows anywere i can buy 1

tryed fleebay googled it im struggling were to buy 1 but need 1 to do the job right tho

any ideas were i can buy the tool from to cetralise oil pump up

nothing else i can think of its like a rubbing / whirring noise as if something is out of balance the more you increase revs faster the noise gets so i guess if not centralised will be out of balance and rubbing binding on something looks like another strip down

ive just rebuilt mine and never realised you had to centralise oil pump i have a rubbing/ whirring noise could this be oil pump binding noise increases with revs

just read about centralising oil pump with a special tool could it be this rubbing /binding ??

had timing cover of because of oil leak and also noticed worn bottom tensioner guide so replaced while it was in pieces timing all perfect no leaks starts 1st time but there is an irratating whirring noise that increases with the revs tried running with all belts removed still same even tried...

full link is alot to be out i think previous owner has had it to bits at some stage looking at it and various markings indicate its been apart before aswell so going to set all up following rave see how it goes

I have P38 diesel which has oil leak from timing cover stripped sump and front timing cover off got new sump gasket and timing cover gasket but can i put bead of silcone were it buts upto headgasket as really dont fancy stripping head off. also noticed cam timing out amazed how it run only link...

was considering P38 converting to l322 look so many putting me off so going to colour code bumpers grill and mirrors put clear indicators on and keep bull bar on if im honest didnt fancy cutting front end up

the problem is have the parts now even dafter parts taken of a p38 looked good but underneath was a bodge job so want to chop away as little as possible and make a nice job :rofl:

never had much problems with my p38 and yes its an oil burner got all parts to upgrade just looking for step by step pics got a grinder and welder :eek::eek:

I know theres many who will not agree but im wanting to convert my old P38 ive got back to an L322 front end look i already have lights grill etc just need some pics more than anything to guide me seen many done i think they look good despite wot some might think any pics guidance advice would...
