Cut a bit off of your garden hose. Fiddle it down through engine bay, poke it into filler hole of gearbox and then push an oil funnel into other end - works a treat and no mess.

This is what I have just done:-
Extra coats, all round, of Red Oxide followed by Hammerite smooth black top coats.
And, Hammerite Underbody Seal with added Waxoyl on the inside.
Not sure if my three give a toss about anything but sleeping, eating & picking up.
