It sounds like you are on the side of the stealers my friend. As a mechanic I have only ever used an impact wrench on wheel nuts (wagons tractors etc) I would never use on regular nut & bolts, the best way of rounding off, & then they have to be cut out, Plus you have got no feeling how tight...

Yes nylock nuts should be changed but you can get away with using them again once with no problem. It is just a money making exercise.

Yes it did not cost much for the parts, But it is a lot of work to change them. After doing it once it would not take as long the next time.(not that I want to do it again)

I think you are not far wrong. I have not had a vehicle I have had to change as much stuff on.
