Ah, the plate, yes I know the plate he referred to but taking that out only reduces the diameter not the height from the back plate, the outside of the shoe is hitting the inside of the drum, the original cylinder shoe seat is 20mm from the back plate, the replacement is 23mm, removing the plate...

Thanks for that, yes I checked behind the shoe for clearance on the adjusters and I have good clearance, I backed the height adjusters back but that didn't help so in conclusion I can only put it down to the cylinder being different, I'll contact the seller but I'm not holding out for much...

I just ordered off the wonderful eBay, it's from premier supply, says County England on the box, unfortunately they don't accept back if its been fitted.

I just ordered part number 243744 rh Yes its when I tighten the wheel up, I'm presuming because its 3mm is deeper than the one I took off but I'd have thought they'd be the same?
