mine is a 2000 L-series I've been slowly upgrading with later ones commodities,
sunvisors are basic, only passenger side (righ hand side) has a mirror, neighter has light in it

that was my initial thought too, they lasted 267000 km so they have certainly proven themselves, but since I'm "abusing" it a bit more nowadays was considering alternatives.

Yesterday went for anual IPO (portuguese MOT), failed on cause of front shocks having over 30% of diference between left and right in values on testing machine.
Sachs replacements have been recommended by a fellow Freelander owner, but that experience is Td4 based.

I'm not saying it is safe,
just saying in 11 years of ownership only had to use the spare once.
it drove about a mile to the nearest petrol station where I extracted a rusty nail out of the tire and used the puncture repair kit I carry in the boot to fix the puncture.

has some cracking on side wall but can't seem to find facturing code, probably on the inside

still using 19 years old factory fitted Michelin spare,
owned it since 2008, never had a cover and only needed to use the spare once.

I did it to my L-Series, bumper and grill are a bit different but the same principle
