Yes I have ACE, kept it going because I like it, did replace these boots a few years ago, I will take a look tomorrow. The garage I went to is a small country set up, they do many 4wd so I thought if it was ACE it would be described as is.

Mystery of the vanishing fluid is solved. when looking underneath yesterday i noticed the inside wall of the rear right tyre was darker than the rest, a closer inspection revealed that the bango on the caliper has been weeping fluid over time...
Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated.
Booked a day off work tomorrow to go over the brake system, need to see where the missing fluid went.
I'll update if I find anything.
Or!! Get rid of it!
When mine went Tits-Up? I looked at the price of replacement/Repairs 🤯
Cheaper to buy replacement bits and become Non-Ace Td5!!
Feels no different than before!!

As for disappearing fluid! No idea?
But you are going to need to bleed them first (make sure you have a second person with you), whilst bleeding, check all pipes and associated parts to make sure there are no leaks!!

Best wait for a reply from @sierrafery who may be able to send you on the right direction?
Also have a look in the search engine (if you have not already) on LZ?
Kev
I have Landrover/Jaguar icarsoft i930.
It's good for reading and clearing! If anymore is needed, I will use nanocom at my local garage, but have not needed that yet 😉
Kev
Did you see the codes? And did you see them deleted??
Sorry to say! There are a few garages out there! Who will say anything 😳
Kev
NB: I own D2 Td5 and better half owns FL Td4! So I can get around 95% of both! And being on here! You also get...
Fixing a D3/4?
You will need a ramp?? Or a very understanding cheap garage??
Yes! The add ons can be replaced (££) but anymore than that? Ramp are needed!
Kev
NB: im good with 3 garages that deal with 4x4! And seen and heard the complexities...
As above!! MAF no more than £50!!
......Ask for a breakdown on the invoice and receipt??.....🤔🤥🤔
Second opinion at another garage! Ask them to delete history?
Check the map! Check the air filter! Then check the turbo?? After diagnostic test??
Kev

New pump and fluids came today... Steering has not been so light ever before.
So what I learned. Never buy cheapest staff, use always recommend fluids... Simple is that 🤥
Not had the chance to take any other pictures yet. Other side of that leg seems ok. Got a welder looking at it next week to see what he can do .
Rest of the chassis looks OK. It's only had 2 or 3 small welds over the period I have had it.
