    Window frame painting advice required!

I'm worried spraying them again will just fail as the rust is right in the runners under the window running seals. Powder coating might be the answer but I've seen the mess that makes when water gets under the coat. Classic Range Rover Rusty Window Frame Photo by awhitwell44 | Photobucket

    Window frame painting advice required!

Hi Stripped the paint of my two 1980 door frames (hours & hours) and then the painter didn't shot blast the inside corners, get the acid etch coat all over and left bare metal under the lips in the seal area. You can scratch off the black with a finger nail. Ashford Chroming promised to do a...

    Recognise these rubbery bits anyone?

Thanks everyone. They certainly look like the ones from the Dippypud's picture but they don't fit there on this 1980 RR. I think I can leave them out until I find a similar RR to scrutinise. We did have a P38 that died but I'm sure these seals came from the 1980 Classic. I'll post a final...

    Recognise these rubbery bits anyone?

Ummm - here's the bonnet shutty area (very clean - so far!) and no obvious place for the rubbery bits. Rangie Bonnet Zone Photo by awhitwell44 | Photobucket Hope no one can see me wandering around trying to fit them in various places!

    Recognise these rubbery bits anyone?

Anyone any idea where these panel seals came from? awhitwell44's's Library | Photobucket Panels painted and everything going back on - don't want to leave these out. They are bound to be deep down where I can't retrofit them! Not long now.

Parts from P38 before scrapping (breaking)

I've ended up with two petrol P38's with blown engines that need to go to heaven but I'd quite like to sell a few bits before they go (having done the reverse for years !). Please email me on [email protected]

    Running on 7 cylinders

Update - 10 days, 20 trips and 250 miles on 7 cylinders and a spark plug 'silencer'. Cracked block. Not a lot of power. Ran it with K-Seal for 200 miles but it had not worked when I tried the spark plug back in. We've deep snow and ice so taking it off the road for a few weeks is out of the...

    Pressurising 4.6

How about trying to measure the pressure in the top up reservoir? If it's a simple hose/pump/rad leak it'll loose water but not overpressure. If it's a crack/slipped liner then it'll overpressure. Anyone tried this?? What pressure should it be? I've done 240 miles so far on 7 cylinders and it...

P38 I want to run on 7 cylinders

I want to run on 7 cylinders with one cylinder with the spark plug out. My 200k mile 4.0l P38 has a block crack on a rear pot that blows the water out when warmed up. Had a new head as the old one showed up a crack on test but I still get too much coolant pressure. I don't want to spend £2,500...

Replacing Rear EAS Air Springs (Broken upper retaining clip)

Hi, Did mine this week. Get a 2ft jemmy. Jam it in and swing on it for the bottom fitting, the plastic will give quite quickly. For the top jam it in (look out for the brake pipes on one side and the air lines on both sides) and swing on it again - you'll bend the metal wheel arch sheeting a tad...
