As I mentioned above - the gears are made of nylon and as you also say, is the lube good from time of manufacture? I re-packed the spindles last year. Still goes clunk most of the time.

Mine has done 60k - without a single problem (they all come in bunches:rolly:)
As I have a day off on the morro I will just check that it is not the rubbish nylon drive gear come loose as per someone ele's post a while ago - see, someone does read through a pile of the older ones.

Hi guys
As this is the second motor to start to give up on my '01 110 Tombraider I am thinking of putting some other more robust motor in place.
Has anyone ever tried doing this and if so what motor was donated please? I am thinking of trying to fit/bodge/jam-in a Transit motor if I can sort...

I have heard that water getting into the clutch or brake master cylinder cable junction - it's the cable joint just away from the master cylinders. Just disconnect and spray with WD40. Can't remember which has the cable sticking out of it and it's dark, wet and miserable out there so not going...

Thanks for that point, Shifty. I think his point was about extra heat with extra power plus the extra revs around the turbo area. I still cannot make my mind up on the type of chip or re-mapping to go for. Being '01 limits me but TD5alive has a good name for himself on the work he has done for...
