Drove my 2001 D2 back from down south to up't north, after a mud run and now got a strange squeak on the overrun and sometimes on the acceleration, if you accelerate hard it stops. Sounds clutch related, but going to check the propshafts as well...
Easter clean inside and out, now sitting on four Pirelli Scorpions.
Started to use the D3 again for commuting within Cheshire, serving us well presently.

D2 Alternator has been intermittent recently (according to the voltmeter hanging of the dash - fitted by previous owner, probably due to alternator fault) so I've got a solar panel plugged in permanently. Seems to be working ok so far!

Lives another day, the V6 lion engine decided to try and eat the auxiliary belt tensioner on the D3 caught this just in time.
Opportunity to get the massive spanners out again to remove the fan.
New belt and tensioner fitted.
127,803 miles.
Once read an owner of a D4 say, it was like driving around on a hand grenade with the pin pulled!
People say the D3 is as crap, and yet I have been driving mine daily for the best part of ten years.
5k oil changes are essential.
read that before being mentioned regarding fuel dilution can lead to crankshaft failure , plus changing the engine oil / filter every 6,000 miles
assume the SDV6 would suffer more with oil dilution over the earlier TDV6
