Only work with sidelights and I think ignition on too.

Check inlet manifold and EGR for being clogged too. I had one EGR that caused a dead spot as pulling away. Blanking the vacuum to it removed the problem.

Make sure plunger is free and springy before fitting. Insert switch so that the plunger goes through and sits on pedal stop. When seated flat and happy with plunger twist body to lock.
