I think OEM is used quite loosely these days!
Not quite sure why we can't make rubber that lasts. My 1967 cortina has all the original window rubbers and cooling hoses. They are a bit hard though 😕.
I have noticed that original equipment, if it lasts then it lasts well. Our 2000 model has all original bushes and ball joints. 60k miles but 24 years old. New 'rubber' whatever it is made off seems to disintegrate before you've tightened the...
Go on....you can do it !!
But to answer your original question the alternative glass mounts will work but anything other than an original will not have a hole to support the heated rear window cable and the window glass could be damaged if the...
And there will be a Next Time !
How long depends in what make bearings you have bought. £20 off ebay will be 3 to 6 months. FAG or SKN will be 5 years ish
.
Suggest you get a manual. All bolts are important and must not be left out. The picture shows the plate between the IRD and bracket so take it apart and fit plate and all bolts as shown.
Handbrake off. Wheel off. block of wood on drum. Sharp smack with hammer. The bottom link that attaches to cable gets stuck at pivot point. When drum off remove, derust, apply copper slip and replace.
LR obviously decided that the Tailgate window had caused quite enough problems for FL1 owners and decided to delete it without consulting any dogs as to their preference !
Having read the history of the FL1 - the only reason the rear window got...
If you actually mean the solenoid that connects to the turbo actuator by a rubber hose then that can be obtained separately. The actuator may well be complete with turbo.
I might be able to find you one if you clarify.
Here she is. Brilliant condition. Will be fitting Freelander running gear and making it into a 3 wheel drive off roader.
100cm lift kit and 18 inch wheels.
Tricky bit is the uj at the front wheel for power will need some fabrication.
Any...
It does have Navigation yes. Not sure why that would require a volume interface ! Just the type of receiver I guess.
Have got to play with the Nav, it came with Europe CD too !! Should be fun.
This helps understand what the ECM does with regard to the Air Conditioning:
AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) – Td4
DESCRIPTION General The air conditioning (A/C) system will only operate when the engine is running. The A/C system is switched on and off...
The Facelift HSE has the above audio system and as shown the resistive steering controls go to an Interface Module. The box on the transmission tunnel has these same coloured wires.
Interface Module converts steering controls to an 'Instrument...
Thanks. So interestingly whilst having a key chip made for EWS3D seemed impossible to all suppliers I tried, my 2003 facelift SAWDOC allowed key chip closing by the first place I tried.
The facelift audio equipment has a module on the tunnel just in front of the gear lever. Not on the pre-facelift. I think this is why the volume controls work with android head units without an additional box. Also, if my ears don't deceive me I...
Where are you by the way?? Your profile doesn't say?
So - the ECU and the security module and the chip in the ignition key are all matched to work together.
The chip is in the black part of the key.
The security module is behind the centre of...
Having now got myself a new fangled 2003 facelift Freelander 1, I know that quite a bit changed in the electronics, but does anyone know what the key changes were and what is compatible from pre and post facelift??
ABS module has same ID for...
