They do 2" also, just to confuse things.

That might be crap, never used it, 3M is probably good but the cost seems very prohibitive for the casual user.

Mine did that and left me stranded in Waitrose car park. If you can try a tow start and see if that helps. Also a failing starter can affect the cps which means it will turn over a lot before starting and put the eml on. Solenoid kit did not fix...

You can get rivnuts with a closed end so, in theory, there is less chance of the threads getting water in and rusting up. You would need to be more particular with the length of bolt you use though.

Yes, take the mounting plate off, deal with the rust and fit some rivnuts in the original holes. Then bolt the mounting plate back on and then the filter housing.

Sorry, didn't notice you are new, we have an introduction section somewhere. Go and say hello and post some photos, we like Landy photos.

Pretty sure you just unbolt it, give it a go you will soon find out.

There must be a tube of single pack adhesive you could use at a reasonable price.

You could fit a new wire and inline fuse from the battery, just remember to switch it off.

Really it would be a good idea to take the mount plate off and deal with the rusty chassis, might need to get the welder out by the looks of it.

I've just found out it's for the air conditioning, but I don't have it anymore so it's redundant!

I ended up grinding the bolt heads off, there was about 5mm bolt to get hold of with mole grips and surprisingly they came out easy.

    Additional front spotlight loom maybe?

How did you remove the damaged timing case bolts in the end?
  • A
Anaconda replied to the thread 200Tdi.
There is a locking tab on the side of the injection pump to lock the pump timing before removing. Set the timing correctly,, undo the bolt remove locking tab and tighten the bolt. You can then remove the belt and pump.

Check the ECU under the drivers seat for any oil in the loom. If the big red wireloom connector is covered in oil then you need to change the injector loom, otherwise don't bother. Oil was dripping out of my ecu wire connector when I bought it. I...

On some happier news I have found a registered company who charge only if you take their advice. So essentially they will look into my pensions for free and if they come up with a plan that involves moving a pension then it's a % of the value...

You were lucky. 😲 😲 😲 😲 I/we had 4 of the sods. 3 taken out with my ex, one for each time we bought a house, then the last one when we divorced and I bought her out. The first two did as they were advertised, came in at more than the basic...
