How did you get the belt out, in the first place ? You should slack the tensionner the same way to remove it and to fit the belt. The bolt behind is certainly lose, so you need to tighten it.

Hi, 24 mm for the freelander td4, you need a very long and thin spanner to do the job.

Sounds like the pump is leaking, but the fuel is running backwards down the sump.

If the door lock don’t unlock you need to change it. If you put a preowned one, it has certaintly fail like the previous one. Can you open the door ? If not you are good to remove the trim with a closed door.

CCU could be the problem.

Garage that say it doesn’t worth to fix It, should not be trusted. If a garage told me that I find an another one. Find an other garage that can fix It. A freelander 1 TD4 in good condition can cost 4000 to 5000 euros in France.

XKB100170 should fit. The plonger adjust itself when is presed by the pedal. Don’t compress the plonger by hand, it will be too short. If you done that, on the old one take a clamp, or bench vice, to pull it out. Then you can try on the new one...

Does oil comes from the turbo ? The boost pipe that get to the turbo can be broken. Turbo hoses use to have some oil in them, same for the intercooler that accumulate a lot of oil. Not very common to have a broken turbo on the FL1 TD4

Hi, Depending from where the rumble comes, you can drive like that for a time, but not that long. At least if you can go under the car, you can check yourself the VCU supports, cracked rubber are pretty obvious. Regards.
