All of that and I am just an idiot :/
I was doing some more googling and someone said "make sure the calipers are the right way otherwise the bleed nipples will be at the bottom. Lo and Behold reviewing some of the videos we took.
That is the...
...Here we are again, this again didn't fix the issue...
Good news though! The pedal now feels different... Still not good, but before it used to go solid but be very spongy, now the pedal is very smooth does not feel spongy but it goes all the...
After several weeks working on the car I managed I managed to get Chademo charging working well enough make the journey to the TOG Hackerspace in Dublin. This was for an annual get together of DIY EV Builders. My daughter Rachel surprised me the...
LOL, I was just kidding.
The socket has really heavy cables and a connector that meant I could plug it straight into the HV junction box without needing to touch them. It made the installation easier and safer but they were kinda short, however...
You mean like a hole in the bonnet????
I don't expect to be fast charging too often so a length of wooden batten to hold the bonnet up will be fine.
I'll have a go at rotating the socket though as the current setup makes fitting the plug...
A powered finger file is your friend to grind off the heads off the bolts. Unless they've been removed already sometime recently the heads will chew off and you have no hope of getting them out.
I've been pushing ahead with the low voltage junction box trying to get the car ready for a road trip next Saturday and today I had the biggest step forward since enabling regen. :D
DC fast (ish) charging at a Chademo charger. :banana...
Looks like any other electro/hybrid crossover in recent years. Can't wait to see a spec sheet describing similar performance to every other model, but being more expensive than the Chinese cars.

Is there anything special about filling the ABS module? Just wondering if it might have got air in it somewhere.
What system are you using to bleed them? Last time I did it I used an EZ bleed that gets pressure from a spare tyre so it forces...
i have done this using a nylon with the help of a machinist friend and is getting me by but clutch pedal sits super high and the bitting point is still to the fire wall. plus i think the extra travel ruined the seals because it is leaking from...

Sorted mine. Big job, clutch change on a Freelander.
In the past I made an extension for the pin that sticks out of the clutch master cylinder and clips onto the pedal. It worked a treat for years.
This might help if you need to do the clutch...
My wife's Ford Kuga has an oddity with the lights. With the car running and the lights on if I push the start/stop button the engine keeps running until I turn off the lights then the engine turns off too. It's been like that since we bought it 4...
*1 is magic, and seems to be installed in every F2 😵💫
Auto lights are great, but, as every car, they still struggle to sense fog during the day, and so many people forget to override and switch their lights on. (That’s not LR specific of...
And today I had the first proper drive with the new brain installed and so far all good.
I still need to tidy up some 12V wiring like the heater controller, Chademo control and a few other things also tweak a few settings but it's driving as well...
I found with an L series FL1 the brakes were very poor but all the post 2001 FL's I've driven the brakes are great. As good as any other car I've driven which includes Mercs, Fords, Vauxhall, VAG group etc.
Thank you everybody who took the trouble to respond.
As always Landy Zone members were enormously helpful and enabled me to finish the job. Looking at the various stages of solving the problems I probably knew some of the answers but didn’t...
