Has anyone had an issue when removing the drain plug on the metal pipe assembly underneath, came to replace the thermostat today and the drain plug wouldn't come out subsequently cracking the braze and now a massive leak, been to two weld shops who can't weld it as its brazed, has anyone swapped...

Just been reading this thread, I've currently got same problem however the coolant in my case was low and the head has just been done, if coolant was low this would cause the temp sensor to cause the fault needle dropping and red light coming on as it would have dropped level flowing past...
