I thought it sounded maf related then realised you had a pierburg maf fitted. From experience, this maf only works with the box turned on, and running over half max. Does it run better with the box on and turned up?

Timpsons, but it didn't work, so in the end, I mullered the spare key and filed it down to fit. Works a treat. And now it says Valeo on it ;-) so it's original.

I used model glue, but that's why I fitted a new battery.and held it together with two tie straps. I also put a small piece of foam under the board and chip, cos 1 of them was rattling.

Piece of cake, split the fob, split the key for the chip, buy a new cr2032 battery, put the board from the fob and chip from the key, in the new key, and glue together, I used tie straps to hold whilst glue set. Get the blank cut at timpsons.

Hi mate, 'twas near side. The thing with yours being the mk1, I'm not sure that the special would still wobble. But the specials listed for 00-06 do, as they're missing a complete set of bearings, as LR won't release the patents for aftermarket manufacture. The same as they won't with the...
