So, offset is more complex than that. ET is the distance from the rims centre line that the mounting flange is. So a different width rim will have a different off set. e.g. a 16 x 6.5" rim with say ET00 offset would be equal dish on both sides...

AJ-90TDi replied to the thread Wheels - -35 offset too much?.
Ok thanks very much, would it make a huge difference if they were a -25 offset? Effectively I just like the challenger wheels. I’m on the standard wheels with a 30mm spacer now and was figuring that the -35 would just sit 5mm further out. It...

The answer is probably yes... but it does depend on what you are wanting to achieve and why you want such deep off set rims. Stock rims are 6.5" and +33ET offset. So a 30mm Spacer would make it like an +03ET rim. -35ET is massively more offset...

Hi guys, I’ve ordered a set of challengers with a -35 offset. Currently running standard wheels on a 30mm spacer so wasn’t too concerned about things but I’m wondering if these are going to look a bit silly and be pushed right outside the...

Offered up the interior trim for the rear windows. Realised that whoever cut the holes did not cut them in the correct location !! 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️. Packaged up the trims ready to go back and will now be ordering pano glass. I’ve...

Anyone got any the person before me already bodged a second sunroof in the back section, so there’s already a hole, and one which leaks aggressively. I don’t think it can get any worse. If anything it’s going to make it more rigid, warmer and...

New plate and final lights addition. Just ordered some challenger wheels arriving in March. I quite like my wheels but they’re painted really badly and are chipping off everywhere so look really ratty. Shooting hatch goes in on...

Britpart roof rails and Vickywood awning all go today. The Vickywood stuff is seriously great quality I have to say. Going to get a 190 mighty oak roof tent for the summer for some camping fun with the little one. Next thing is to get another...

Thanks very much. I figured this out earlier, not sure how I hadn’t seen that they fully release. I have to say it’s made a pretty dramatic difference having the new filter in there so a good, simple, modification 👍👌🏼. Thanks for your help !!

If they are the same as the 200tdi, you just ping them up and the buckle releases. This video shows the set up, no a/c though as that will be a super rare option in the UK.

Ok great, thanks. Well, I say thanks, the next question is how the hell to get any tool in to actually undo the bits that hold those clips down. I feared that this may be the case. RIP knuckle skin.

Hi guys, Probably a very silly question, but I’m trying to change the air filter on my 300 TDi as it’s full of dust and gunk. I have AC and can get the cap of the filter housing off but the AC obviously totally blocks the filter from coming...

Got one side done now, used some mouldable plastic and have done this behind the front wheel as well as in front and behind the rear wheel. Good with the mouldable plastic as I’ve been able to shape it around the arch and inside of the sills...

I did actually get some little ramps with the car so I’ll get it up in the air. In fairness I think it does have some sort of flap over the lights, but I don’t think at the front. I’ll have a look. I’m also in the process of making something...

Buy or make yourself a set of large floor ramps. I got mine off a chap who made them for his military trucks, is just angle and flat strap welded together. You can also make you own little mud covers rather than spending out for the...

I thought it was about time I posted here since my introductory post last year: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/hi-new-1996-defender-90-owner.394518/ I have done the obvious stuff - check/replace/top-up fluids etc. I have swapped out the...

Ah got you, so they just mount a lot closer to the wheel then. Will have a look at those. I’ve got spaced wheels as well so looks like I could mount these as far out as I wanted. Thanks for the tip !!
  • AJ-90TDi
Don’t they just. Got some fast cars too but get so much more enjoyment at 30mph in this 👌🏼. Thanks for the tips, it has a good amount of oil on at the moment but chatting to a friend about getting a few of us in to use a ramp to clean and oil...

I’ve got a chronically leaking rear sunroof (which someone bodged in in the past. It needs replacing really as the water is pouring in. Just come across this which I also think will be amazing for the summer. Anyone seen one in action?

I don’t think so as it’s just chipping off really easily. Think I’m going to have to white spirit to dissolve all the varnish and wax, then sand back, re-stain if needed and then varnish. Absolute schoolboy error!!
  • AJ-90TDi
I realised that I’d managed to stain and varnished over a waxed finish on the deck I did in the back. Looks like I’m going to need a lot of white spirit and a lot of sand paper next week ! Annoying as was really happy with how it was looking...
