Greetings
Does the clock spring of a D2 fit a D1 1997 300tdi EDC? The D1 appear to be difficult to find.
Also, what is the correct part number for the D1 clock spring?
Thx

I've been told to try and unplug either the manifold temp sensor or the Lambda O2 sensor (one at a time) and see if that changes anything. Could anyone direct me to where these sensors are located?

Asking for a friend...
His V8 does not start when cold. After a lot of trying, or when ambient temp is high - starts and runs normally.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Ok, great. I'll make a list. For certain I need the centre dash fascia but will have a look what else is missing. I've only had this D1 for a month or so.

Does anyone know where I can get the central panel for D1 1998? (the one with the radio etc.)
Could not find any on ebay, just ones for D2. Will also need some other trim parts.
Cheers

Hi everyone,
After a long search I may have found a candidate body to replace my broken disco1 (300tdi 98) body.
Has anyone had any experience doing this? How difficult is it and what are the main points to watch for when separating the body from the chassis?
Secondly, since the reason I have...

Thank you Kevstar and Dieseldog
I am an amateur welder with little time and space to do a project like this on my own (though I would love to if I had someone experienced to assist). The other thing is that I use the vehicle every other week to get me to the desert, and I can't stay without an...

Greetings all
After many kms in rough terrain my disco1 98 300tdi has developed some bad cracks and brakes. Basically most of the brackets holding the body to the chassis have detached. There are also some cracks in the sides of the engine bay (the internal wings) and the front right corner...

Turned out I damaged one of the a/c pipes (just behind the left rear wheel) and the gas leaked out. Don't know why the rear a/c was still cooling. The pipe was replaced and gas was added. Was costly, but hopefully that's behind me now.
Thx everyone

yes, though it seems stuck/ constantly pressed in. In any case I haven't changed its position. The a/c worked ok till now, was never too strong but I was told that that's normal for the model.
-
No, it's not warming when the dials are on the blue. It's just not cooling.
-
I was thinking about something like that, but wouldn't it heat constantly with the a/c off?
-
The front is bowing air but it may be less than its usual (which was never great). The air comes out at ambient temp. The heater works.
The rear a/c cools as usual. I think I will have the a/c man look at it. I was told to check the a/c gas first as if it is low it may be enough for the smaller...
